well after hmmming and hawwwing with some tire kicking while waiting for a good deal on a used 4x4 over the last 3 years i finally gave in. as all used 4x4 that are in any condition are $5000 LaLaLa and up around here i decided to get a new one. put the deposit on her today. its a 2005 big bear professional and boys and girls this is the last season for the vernerated bear in canada. there gettin hard to come by so im glad to find this one. my green machine will be in next week so ill have to post an avatar after she gets home.

well boys she mader home last night. got baptized this morning pullin the wave runners out for the season. only problem so far (has .3 km on it) is the reverse linkage is stiff to use but it is getting better. post some pics of her when i get home

:yam: I have an 05 big bear pro and its an awesome toy. It takes all I throw at it , but I wish it could run 2wd and was a little faster. Dont get me wrong, its great on the trails, Im the one who pulls everyone out of the tough spots but I would like a little more top end. Polaris, Hondas, Arctic cats have all been on the other end of the hook, when it comes to low end power nothing beats a BIG BEAR. :moon:

Jeff, just cut about 6 one inch round holes in the airbox lid and you will find some more top end with out hurting the bottom end a bit. Simply get a one inch cutter for your drill and cut the holes on the edges of the lid so any possible water will stay away from the filter. I used a box of uni vents on my old BB and Kodiak and used rubber cement to fasten them in and for water proofing. I didn't use the foam inserts because they block too much of the air.

The UNI-Vents cannot be closed, you have to put tape on them and hope it sticks. Depending on the slime that is on the lid at the moment.

The TPI can be slid closed and opened up again anytime you wish. If you need less air for richening the mixture, just slide one shut and your air wil be reduced.

Two TPI valves are the equivalant of 6 UNI's. Plenty.

;)!
