Hi I am new to this site. I have a 2010 yamaha venture mp and my exhaust header broke off at the flange is this a common problem for this sled? I have 1500 miles on the machine.

Sounds like a defective part. I had a buddy who had one of those, he had nearly 20,000 km on it (when it caught fire and burned to the ground) and I'm pretty sure he didn't have that happen.

ice fisher, could you add your location as per site rules. thank you.

Sorry about that just added my location. My guess must be a faulty part only 1500 easy miles on it and it broke unless a chunk of ice from tunnel hit exhaust and broke it. I'm lucky I caught it in time before it caught on fire.

If you mean the part that goes from the head to the exhaust pipe, then that is unusual. There are two different part numbers for left and right with the left one being less expensive by about $23. Both have new superseded numbers so they might have been improved.

Yes that's the part from head to flex pipe left side broke. Ordered a new one is coming in next Monday won't be riding this weekend was thinking of welding old one up. Thanks for info.
