Well did some trail riding over the holiday and my 05 Vector got progressively louder throughout the day yesterday until it was deafening. Was hoping for the donuts being gone but figured it was too loud for that. Tore into it. Exhaust broken in half at the muffler clamp. Anyone ever seen this? Thinking about trying to weld it and wondering if anyone has had luck. I'm sure the 3 to 1 pipe is not cheap. Gotta love snowmobiling!

I would look for a used one off of a parted out sled. Go to the Classifieds section of this site and PM "Hibshman25" and see if he has one. He'll treat you right!

I would not attempt to weld it like said earlier get one from one of our sled wreckers. Try to buy an 03 or 04 they are stainless steel I think yours are titanium.

i seen a apex gt in que a couple of years ago it was missing the piece where the pipe goes into 1 . i have a 06 apex about a year later it cracked in the same spot i got it welded been fine since .i would get it welded.

Pretty sure there was no titanium exhaust on the RS series sleds. My brothers 06Nytro last season had the same problem(exhaust got louder, loss of power).Took it apart to find one of the flexpipes cracked.Replaced it with a new update part(did the copper donuts mod also)and she was good to go.

I ended up welding it back together and it seems to be strong. I will be putting a new one in after this season when I go thru the skid cause it will rust at the weld now. Able to keep riding for now tho. Will post if it breaks again. 8500 miles on the sled.
