I was marking my track to install studs and noticed a missing lug. Is this something I should be concerned about? Is it worth replacing the track?

If that is the only lug that is missing, I wouldn't worry about it, I really don't see that being covered under warranty anyways. Just stud it like normal and check it every once and awhile, I have seen alot worse.

I'd trim the loose fibers with a sharp knife then take a plumbers torch and carefully seal any little rips in the rubber.....then ride it.

I wouldn't put the torch to the track. I would heat a flat screw driver tip or something similar and apply that to the damaged area. Keep some water handy in case it ignites the track.

I doubt very much that it will be covered under warranty. They'll say that you spun it on a rock or something.

RipSaw is a delicate track, lugs come off very easy.

no need to do anything.just stud it.applying heat with a torch will make it delaminate quick.heat kills

I bought a ripsaw for my 03 Rev and hated it. I put a 1.25 six-pitch design on my 05 Mach and IMO that is the best track. I wish Yamaha offered a change of tracks on spring orders.

I know 2 lugs were my fault I powered over a culvert. every time i go out there is more lugs missing. I will hopefully post some picks later, but every time I look just makes me sick.Dealer just laughed when I asked if it would be warrantied. not the responce i was looking for with only 50 km's

I brought the picture to show him and he said don't worry about it just stud the track and it will be fine. I'm not too concerned. The motor went on my 05 Mach after 2100 miles so if all I have to worry about is a broken lug I think I can manage.
