it depends on how much you weight..
I am 205 and the 5.5 spring works great.. if you are 250 or more you will need an even larger spring.. i think they have a 6.0 and a 6.5 and a 7.0

And how fast is the turn around time???
I live cloes by Pioneer, and Bruce did mine while I waited. Many riders here report very quick turn around. I have an 07 GT with electric Ohlins. I changed from the stock 4.9Lb to the next heavier spring. I think that is the 5.5 Lb. He also changes the washer stack inside the shock, this is called a revavle.I could not get mine to stop bottoming last year, so I changed it out , and it works really well! Much more usable travel with NO hitting the bottom. I go 200lbs, and this change was well worth the money. Total cost was$ 110.00 I had no shipping.
Honk,
I just had my 06 EC done, how did you go about measuring the sag? Depending on how I sat on the seat, I got different lengths... Just lightly climb on and sit down? Or bounce and let it recover?

I just got mine back today and Bruce put a 6.5 spring with full revalve.
285$ Canadian ! I think is a deal and great service !
Know all I need to do is ride it, but just sitting on it makes a difference. The shock does not sag down as much. Bruce fixed it according to my 250 lbs weight and said to just bolt in on. Then of course I can play with the EC.

I asked Bruce to preset the sag because I did not want to fiddle with it. As per my weight and riding style, he returned it to me and asked me NOT to make any adjustments.

I checked my sag, per his recommendation sheet, and it was too stiff as received. I only weight 170 so I probably need to just drink more beer...
