can anyone tell me about the bulkhead bushings on my warrior.... I am wondering if they are seperate to the uppper and lower a arm bushings? It seems that there is something in the bulkhead but they are in really tight. how do I get them out IF I am supposed to..

yes they are seperate.they are just plastic with a lip on the outside.so you need to push them towards the opposite way.
thanks, how many miles do you think I should get out of them? My warrior has 7000 miles and they look fine, but I dont know what they looked like new.

milage depends on riding.but 7000 is alot of miles.bushings are cheap if your bored and want to go thru your sled.i have to install new ones in mine again.
she is all apart so I might as well go for it... what is the best way to tap them out? I was thinking of using a socket and hammer to tap them back.

sure that will work or i just pushed mine out with my fingers.
mine will need some help... I tried with my fingers and they are super tight. At first I thought they were permanent.

The bushings are in the arms only. The mounting points on the bulkhead are machined and not removable. I am sure that you are talking about the bushings in the arms, but I was worried when you said "bulkhead bushings", if you drive on the machined surface of the bulkhead you will be sorry.

Take a look at the parts finder under frame and I think you will find that these are replaceable similar to the Apex. I don't have a RX Warrior to look at but the fiche identifies them as available seperate.

I have did a few bulkhead bushing replacements, and at 7000 miles, I strongly recommend changing the 8 bushings in the bulkhead. If you leave them much longer, you will find the holes that the plastic bushing protects, will begin to oblong and this is not good. To get the bushings out I used a long punch with a blunt end on it. There is a shoulder on each bushing so take the flashlight, and this will tell you which way to punch them out. Ok, never mind, I didn't look closely enough at the manual. There are indeed metal bushings in the bulkhead, they press out from the inside. I have to remember not to post after a night with the boys.

The bushings are not metal they are plastic like the A-arm bushings. Like donbarb said at 5-7K these are shot and will start to wear the actual bulkhead casting if not replaced.
BTW When I replaced mine at 6K most of the looseness/play in the front suspension was from the bulkhead bushings NOT the A-arm bushings. If you change only the A-arm bushings you will only get rid of 25% of the slop in the tront end.
It's actually a very good design and for about $100.00 you have a machine that handles like a new one!
