Busted Transfer rod

Yep, 1500 miles on my RTX and it would seem I have snapped my Transfer rod. Yep, right at the spanner nut. Chewed the h*ll out of the center of my track to where the belts are showing. Dealer says my warranty should replace the transfer rod and my track.
FYI- The transfer rod is sold my seperate parts rather than the part as a whole. It wouldn't hurt to buy a few extra parts to carry with you. I will repost on this when I have found out what the cause was and the part(s) that had broke.

Right, there was two spanner nuts, one is gone. My first thought is the track rubbed at one until it broke off. then it was just a matter of time until the one by itself came loose enough for the other end to undo itself.
After I had reset the transfer, I had even used red locktight. I'll be taking the rod off tonight and get a better look at it.

Mine became loose, unscrewed itself and bent in half rubbing against the track. Yamaha replaced the parts but now my shock is blown. WTF

Wonder if an SC-4 will fit under there?

Did they replace the track? Mine isn't bad, but the entire center is rubbed a bit. The entire transfer rod is shot. I'll post a pic later.

What material are the nuts made out of? Is it possible that ou may have overtightened it?

The material is aluminum. It lookslike the track rubbed it enough to loosen it up enough to where the entire assembly came apart. Dealer says Yamaha will replace. I'll come up with an invention so this won't happen again. That, or I'll carry an extra on...lmao

I did not replace the track. It was rubbed to the cords, but I think it will be OK.

I don't recall who it was but someone on here did remove theirs. I believe they said it was a ball to drive, but you did need to be careful.
