One thing I noticed was that the rpm was the same. Can someone explain how the speed of the sled can change with the rpm staying the same? Unless the diference is caused by another factor, besides the engine, I don't get it. Maybe more drag on the hyfax, or the clutch overheating?

Thats the nature of the transmission. If the engine tries to speed up, the clutch shifts further, pulling the engine speed down and the vehicle speed up. Same goes in the other direction.

Lazy,
Thanks for trying to make me understand. I think I get it, but I'm not sure, because we aren't talking about an engine speed difference. The engine in the test was the same in each run.

Maybe you should post all the details of your testing...you'd get specific answers that way!
