Hey guys i am looking for a butterfly key for my apex anyone know the part number or where i can get one for my apex all me friends have them and i kinda feel left out???????????? thanks

The butterfly or "Switchblade" key was discontinued after 2006. The reason being, if it was placed in a certain orientation, it is possible for it to rotate (a bump or some other cause) and actually activate the starter. Not only turn on the starter buy lock it on. I actually lost mine after the first year, I was mad at first but shortly after loosing it I found out about the issue and decided maybe it was for the best. I can't remember exactly how it gets locked but I remember when I first got the sled and spent countless hours sitting on it in the garage I noticed how it could happen. So I just made sure to use the key in a direction that was less likely to cause issues.

I usually open mine to 180degrees so its sticking straight up.. never had a problem yet but I'll be keeping an eye on it from now on....
