I am seriously looking at a 2011 apex xtx here in Canada. My dealers price is awesome. The spring deal offers 2 years extra warranty for a total of 3 years. I would like 4 or 5 if I can get them and don't mind paying a bit for them. I called Yamaha Canada and they weren't sure if I could buy more years or not. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

No, that is availble in the US only so far. I know 2 years extended warranty in Canada is $1100 I'm just not sure I can add that to the 3 years offered on the snow check deal.

Imo, it doesn't matter if the warranty is 3, 4 or 5 years. Yamaha would look for a reason NOT to warranty the failed item(s). If it's a free 3 year warranty, that's fine. Just don't pay anything extra beyond that.

The price was under 15K with 400 in yamabucks a cover and a bag. And that was his first price. I'm sure I can get him to go a bit lower.

Here's how the warranty works. You get 1 year manufacturer warranty when you purchase the sled. Anytime during that 1 year you can purchase either 6,12,24,36,or 48 months of extended service. With the 2011 they are giving you 24 months on top of the 1 year warranty.
Great thanks. So I should be able to buy 2 more years for $1100 for a total of 5 years? Worry free for 5 seasons sounds pretty sweet.

When I owned a
smelly summit..I met my wife..we bought a yammie rage..she put on 1800 and then someone hooked the trailer and went away. .no that was good..my wife had the full replacement warrenty..hit a tree and total it..new one no charge..get it stollen..no charge. 
.so when we went to get her another one..we paid the difference and bought an attak...and my sled.we bought the extended replacement from yammie..cause it was her first sled. 
.just in case she hit a tree the first year. 
.then it went to a normal warrenty..I think its worth the coin..my son wants a sled..2-smoke..but does it have a warrenty like we got.i expect him to do something.we have all been there..good thing it was a junky 2-smoke poooo. ..maybe its different now.i hope not.
