I just installed a 2" block and pivot adapter. All the wires look good but the throttle looks a little short. I was on ronnies and it listed the same part # for the mtn and regular rx1. Is this true. What cable should I get? I went to the 05 mochrofiche and it had a different # for the mtn. Would this one work. Thanks rich

I dont kknow about the part numbers but I have a 8" riser and strait bars on my 03. I bought the mountain cable and theres tons of room

Get the 05 RX1 mountain cable, thats what i have on my 03 RX1 Mountain with a 3" riser, and fabcraft bars. Works great and good price, I paided $22 cdn from my dealer.

you can get away with a vector or rage throttle cable . they are longer than the rx series by about 4". i just got one for my warrior after a 3.5" riser. does your stock cable look as tight as mine did?

scratch that vector/rage cable working! mine got delivered yesterday and i tried to put it on.... cable housing is long enough but the cable itself is too short, not enough room to pull the throttle, i could cut some of the housing off but it just seemed safer and easier to order the rx mountain cable.

Order it from Kevin at Port Yamaha it was like $16 or something like that. 05 mountain is what you need.

I wasn't happy with the choke cable or the brake lines myself and ordered longer of everything. My parking brake also doesn't reach and this on a 2" isovibe risor.

yeah , i went through port for that mt. cagle also bought a mt. brakeline . threw that on yesterday. i am having a bitch of a time getting the choke/starter cable off! otherwise i now have an extra throttle cable for my wifes sled! lol....

I have a 2inch riser on mine and use all the stock cables. Need to re-route the cable and zip tie in different spots but it does work. I don't have any problems with full turns side to side either.

Yes the mtn cable is the safe way to go.
