I did a ton of research on this issue and decided on the 1.5 Intense. I ride 70% trail 30% off trail. From what I found, the benefit offtrail will far outweigh any negative of the softer paddles ontrail.

I have used the 1.5" Challenger (9800 and 9803 were called Challenger until last season) on previous sleds and I was very impressed with the soft trail and off trail performance.
This is the reason I am interested in the 1.5" Intense for the Warrior.

How are the powder hounds on the trails? darting? do they make duellys for them?
I don't think you'll get much reponse on that question here, radta7...I have Powderhounds but I haven't ridden them yet so I can't answer. I don't know of any members on this site that had Powderhounds last season, they're a pretty new ski and a few of us bought them over the summer. A select few have the regular Slydogs and maybe they'll notice this and can offer an opinion on those. I'll report back on my experience after the season is in full swing.
