I wonder if Yamaha will be getting in to a similar concept.
I rode one this weekend and it is like a sled on wheels. Would be like riding a sled all year.
Fantastic concept and I think it will fill a big market gap. The dealers here sold out their entire inventory in a few weeks!
Once again $5000 more north of the border even thought Cdn dollar at par!

I don't thing the Spyder's sell that well though. The local Can-am Dealers has 08' and 09' leftovers still even with the heavy discounts Cam-am has on them. I definately liked the one I test drove but I don't think I'd buy one.

If Yamaha did one maybe they would put the R1 motor in it. I think that would be a nicer package than the V twin.

I think the reason the spyder doesnt sell that much is because BRP is not a well known/loved bike builder. So most bikers in the bike crowd are nervous over the brand itself. If Yamaha/honda/suzuki/ harley built it, it would be a HUGE bike builder making it and probably bring a bigger/better crowd into the mix.
If I always rode a yamaha rode bike, i really wouldn't feel comfortable about dropping 15k on a new to the scene brp product.
I'm not a big BRP fan to begin with, so i ay be biased though.
It would be sic for yamaha to build one though. The yami motor would be enough to push me into takin the plunge. Plus I really think yamaha would make a really sweet bike like this.. just imagine

That's exactly what I was thinking of! Too bad the Lazareth costs 45,000 pounds.

Check out a company called street legal sleds. They can take your sled and convert it into a spider like vehicle. They are located in mass.
