Can battery be charged while in sled - 2007 APEX RTX

My battery is dead in my 2007 APEX. I have had it out in the past to charge it but was wondering if it can or if it's safe to charge it while in the sled using the leads that are available? It would obviously easier than having to remove it from the sled.

I have a quick connect charger. Do i put the +/+ and -/- or +/+ and -/metal part on the sled?

I use the quick connects all the time with my Optimate 4. It hooks to both the positive and negative. I just leave the lead hooked up, then it has a plug in so hooking the sled up to the Optimate is a snap.
