Do not use a regular charger you will fry-it! buy yourself a OPTIMATE 3 or the new 4 and here is what I did, I hot wired my 12v acc outlet with a in-line fuse 5A and back feed with my OPTIMATE I leave it plug when sled is not in use and when you want to ride you just have to quickly un-plug & ride!
I have used a regular battery charger on my sleds for the past 3 years. I set it on 2 amps. and leave it on for about 4 hrs. No problem so far.

Click on the link in my last post and read what the Optimate 4 does. It is much more sophisticated than a trickle charger.
Well worth the money IMO. Pays for itself the first time you are able to revive a dead battery that a regular charger can not.
