- 2007 Phazer Mountain Lite
I recently got a ProTaper handlebar with a RSI Throttle Block with integrated kill switch and TSS from a 2011 RMK Assault to put on my 2007 Phazer Mountain Lite. I really like the look of the taller handlebars and the RSI Throttle Block much more than stock but all the electrical goodies on the block are different.
The kill switch is backwards so the sled now runs when it is down, and is off with it up. I don't mind this as it will be less likely that I kill the engine with a branch. Throttle safety switches on the other hand aren't as easy. Yamaha is a simple closed when engaged/open when disengaged kind of switch while the Polaris one is a bit more complicated partially relying on feedback from their TSS system to fully open with engagement but is otherwise closed but with some resistors... so it's also backwards and trips the Throttle OverRide System on my sled.
I know I can bypass TORS at the carb and add a tether for some semblance of safety, but is there any way that I can keep the RSI throttle block without disabling a reasonable and worthwhile safety system? RSI doesn't make a version that they claim is compatible with Yamaha, but I was wondering if anyone knew of a normally off, push on switch that would fit in the RSI block, the stock one is way too big.
