I am in the process of swapping tracks and going either long track or bigger lug.....Then the thought of.... can I use a 16" wide track on a '06 Apex without issues.......

I'm doing the 144 stretch on mine. Your welcome to have a look at it sometime if you want. Still in the box at the moment. Got a wicked deal on a 144 back country from Mr Sled on here.

That is what the stock apex mtn uses and the tunnels are the same on a shortie. I had asked the question earlier and got a "I think it will work"

If you have a mono with the adjuster in the side of the tunnel, it will not work! it is in the way. If you have the electric shock in the mono you should be able to do it with min mod. Any of the other set up rear ends it will work. I had this idea with mine 136x16x2. I ended up with a 144x15x2 and was vary happy!!!
