Hopefully someone can help me out.
I bought an 06 Attak last year from Michigan and brought it up to Canada. I thought it was originally a Canadian sled and if so I will have warranty on it. Yamaha Canada is fighting me on this, they don't want to give warranty. It has original stickers on the tunnel and under the hood in both English and French. It has the Transport Canada decals with the maple leaf as well. I can't see any way an American sled would have these.
My friend has the exact same sled he bought here in Canada and it has all the same stickers etc.
My local Yamaha dealer had me bring it in and their mechanic confirmed it is all original and not just a switched out tunnel. They took the engine serial number as well to match it.
The serial number doesn't come up in Canada. Our dealership says that if it did come from Canada originally, the dealership would have registered the sale to get the incentives.
I really hope someone can help me out here. I will try to add a picture as well.
thanks

Those canadian tunnel stickers come on all yamaha sleds no matter where they are shipped to. If the sn does not come up it,s a us sled.

Do the US sleds have "FRENCH" info? I'd doubt that...any of our "US" freinds confirm that for us...
It could of been a CND bound sled and ended up being sold or traded to the US for some reason, either a dealer trade or private sale.
"wildbonz" take the VIN # to a local MTO and run a previous owner check on it, they can give you the hole scoop on that sled or even your local POLICE detachement.

The canadian sticker on the us sleds is bi-lingual. I have a us apex sitting right in front of me.

Thanks for the responses.
Any idea why American sleds have Transport Canada stickers on them? I can't see our US friends wanting or having English/French Canadian stickers with a maple leaf on them.
So are you saying all Yamaha sleds come this way? Just doesn't make sense to me. Do you guys in the USA all have this?
apltx08, good idea. I'm checking with a local police friend to see if it is possible for him to dig it up.
I'll try and attach a picture for comparison tonight from home.
Any sledders in Michigan that would have any idea about this?
thanks

Hint: call a US dealer and have them ship ya the parts under warranty and then do the repair yourself!
