went from riding a supercharged attak the last 2 tears to selling it and getting a nytro xtx. put the xtx in the shop and looked it over for a bit and thought it was just a cheap piece of doodoo .Then looked at a venture gt 2009 and took it for a drive and thought it was awesome. Not sure about it yet but my young kids sure think it was the right thing to do. Took it out and the bottom end power is great and ride is unbelievable. And its a warm sled to ride with lots of luggage space. the nytro had non of that. Hell this thing even has paint. Sorry the nytro did not float my boat.

i tell you its crossing my mind. what would a guy put on it? sweet sleeper huh? can you imagine the look on a guy riding a 800 doo or turbo cat getting left in the dust by a guy ridng 2 up. Although cats 2 up is turbo,d so might as well just go buy it

That cat is a nice sled. It is just not appealing to me esthetically. The Venture would be the ultimate sleeper and very unique. I would try a turbo this time around.

Believe me this isn't the first time I have thought about building a boosted venture.

I look forward to seeing your R&D results.

Hey I loved my touring sled. Course it had a 172hp triple under the hood that just screamed fun when you hit the flipper.

I like the idea of Turboing the Venture, I've had that thought for some time.

Is this the Fuelie Venture in the D2 chassis or the RS Venture? I am very Interested In hearing a real world review on a fuel injected venture gt I cant afford a new one but good used ones should be redily available by next season

yes it is the 2009 fuely, first ride seems like plenty of poop. And a ride that seems awesome, plush so far. SEE yamaha can make a sled that rides nice , but it has to be a sled thats probably the lowest selling in there line up

in my opinion it is just a cheap sled. starters the guage is something you would find on a kids sled. no paint on any panels at all so they kinda look worn after the first or second wipe down. The front end is weak, 1600 km on this xtx and ball joints were getting loose and the one side the shock was moved back just about hitting upper control arm, one slight little pull with a crowbar lol. yes just twisted it back like butter and it appeared straight. Must of been the subframe but no sign of impact at all. sled ran and pulled nice. No storage at all, no wind protection, hard rear seat. i ran apexes and rx1 for years and they seem to be some dollars spent building those sleds, although nothings perfect but to me there is some money spent on the compared to the glorified phaser. My opinion only as i am not bashing the nytro just dont think its the same quality. If it were way cheaper then say a rsvector by alot i would say you get what you pay for. I have owned apexs over the years and just wanted something different for a change. Wanted to try nytro but didnt last long. looked for a doo 4 stroke but couldnt doo it.My cousin needed to sell his venture and i thought i would help him out and for now i think its a hell of a sled. If i got rid of the huge windy i dont think it would look all that bad either.

lol i was waitiing for you to chime in chris, hey i am still playing with my vmax 4800 and my 02 srx 700. I am looking forward to having a granmpa sled to take kids out to cabin this year. was kinda hard on the boosted attak. Which by the way i might get to own old blue again superman. She has 7500 miles on now and buddy that owns it just got married so its been sitiing.
