Can't get traction

get a 1.5 intense track. Best mod ive done so far. No studs and great hook up even in the sloppy stuff. I agree with some other posts that a call to AD boivin for a lil tech help would be a good thing too. You wont regret the intense track, i love it...

Just came in from riding some groomed trails. My sled steers fine and is very predictable. I am very happy so far. I will get out on some big time trails Wednesday and will report back.

Rode 25 miles today with kids on groomed trails. The sled is setup very well. I would almost like to have more ski pressure, but it is way to early to start tinkering.

I put 3000 km's on my 09 RTX se and I'm having problems hooking up too. All the track wants to do is spin, I have way too much ski pressure.

Front Setup - C&A razors, 65 psi in float x's, sway bar stock hole.

Rear setup - Center spring 3/8" showing, rear springs on medium. Both straps to full transfer. Think I'm going to tighten my rear strap 1 or 2 notches.

Tightening the strap would add to the ski pressure...

I have put about 2600 miles on the sled. I guess I just expected the sled to be different than the Apex when it comes to weight on the skis. The four strokes are just heavy up front, stock skid or not. I had my rear shocks revalved, but still have the typical feel of the heavy front end. Sled hooks up better the deeper the snow gets. I have seen Apex's Nytro's, and even Phazer's have trouble getting going on an icy lake because there is so much weight up front. Guess that is a price to pay to have an awesome reliable motor.

I like the Nytro better in the corners then my Apex's and the bumps are slightly better due to the front end of a Nytro not being nearly as sloppy. Maybe next year I will try a 1.5" track.

Take away your front storage tool pouch and get rid of the heavy airbox then substitute it with Ulmer K&N filter kit, reduces the weight enough to make a noticeable difference in handling and bump performance.

Front strap yes. But wouldn't the rear strap limit the rear travel and keep it down, not pitching all the weight forward. When I'm off my sled, with my saddle bags still on I can see that the snow flap ends about 16" off the snow. If I could bring it down some, I think less weight would be shifting forward. But this means nothing for the op with the zx2
