Hey guy's I have a carb flooding issue that has me stumped. I worked in a Yamaha shop for a few years and have cleaned a lot of carbs. Mostly snowmobiles. I never ran in to this before so maybe one of you have. A guy came to me with his grizz 350 not running right so I told him I would look at it. It sounded like a needle sticking problem so I pulled the carb off and tore it apart to do a carb overhaul. It all looked good accept the small pilot jet was clogged. I cleaned it, every thing else looked very good and clean. Put it back together and it just dumps fuel. I cant barely keep it running just blowing raw fuel out the exhaust and fouling plugs. The guy also told me that it never really ran right from the day he bought the unit new. Has any one ran into this before? Thanks guys

yeah that's the first thing I thought but It's like brand new. Maybe I'll throw a new needle and seat in just to rule it out.

I would, just because it's new doesn't mean it's not messed up.

I never did find anything with that carb. I put a new one on it and it runs perfect. New carb loaded was only $210.00. Not to bad. I wish we could send it to Yamaha so they could tell us if it's something internal. I did find someone else that had the same problem and had to do the same thing put a new carb on. I don't no?

Glad you got it running. I agree it would be nice to know what was wrong though.
