So I accidently broke off one of the male connectors on the bottom of the carbs that hooks to the carb heater harness. I can't get that part in my area for a couple days out and would like to ride this weekend. Will I have any problems? Or is the carb heaters just a bounus to keep them from icing up? Thanks

Maybe I answered my own question. I have the coolant blocked off to the carbs, so is the heating harness and heaters on the bottom of the carbs are pointless with out coolant?

The electric carb heaters are only on (powered) when the engine is at fast idle when warming up. When the idle drops and the orange light goes off, the carb heat circuit is dead.....then the carbs are heated with the coolant that flows through them.
......ride it!!!!!

Should be able to run the sled w/o the connection. You may want to tape it, if the conductor is exposed.
