i just borrowed a carb sync. guage from a guy. its a guage kind not a mercury one. how do i sync. them can n e one explain this?

Find someone that owns a Vacu-Mate synchronizer. It's digital and they are pretty slick for setting your carb synch. I use them on outboards and my old Warrior. You'll be surprized how much smoother you can make your engine run with a good synch.
