When synching your carbs on the RX-1 on the #1 +#4 carbs do you put in a T connector to accomadate the vacuum lines for the fuel pump?

I too have thought about this and havent done it yet but I think I am gonna hook the vacume lines up to #2 & #3 when I do the test then replace them back to #1 & #4 after. Anyone have any better thoughts?

You can actually synch the carbs while the vacuum hose to the fuel pumps are disconnected. There is sufficient amount of fuel in the carb bowls to do this while the fuel pump hoses are disconnected. If not, re-connect hose to fuel pump and run sled for a minute or so to re-fill bowls back up. Once done, you can re-connect your carb synch tool and finish synch'ing the carbs. I had some trouble getting one of the carbs synch'd up with the others and took several times doing this but for the others, I was able to do it within the time you have until the bowls run dry.

carb
i had a lot of trouble sync the carbs as it truned out that some at mikni did not hook the carbs to gether properly. it would balence fine but loss of power was very evedent the ferther out the carbs got the more power i had so i had to split the rack and remount them.(not a job for the weak of heart)then and only then could i get the sled to run right. but i did find that if i took my air hose and added some air psi to the tnak air vent i could get the moter to run wile i played with the carb syc for extended a priod of time
