I have 2003 rx1. I had the crabs off and cleaned them in and ultrasonic tank. This is the first time I have ever cleaned carbs so I'm a newbie. But I put everythIng back together and it ran good sitting on the trailer. But now that the snow is here I was going the try it out in the yard and i have problems. It's like the throttle is sticking, it will idle ok but then when I hit the gas it revs up and stays there, like 5,6,7000 rpm. I checked the cable and its not stuck. It slacks off when you release the throttle. Could the needles be sticking open?? Any help would be great.

Check to see if your throttle position sensor is plugged in , did that on mine one time and it'll rev all over the place .

Its plugged in. I checked with a meter too and it seems to be in spec.

Not tors, tors will not let your rpms climb to the point where your clutch will kick in. Otherwise why have it if the sled can still move on its own. Clean your carbs again! Where is Indy he should of beat me to telling you to clean your carbs? lol

I took them off and cleaned them again, put them back in and tried it but the battery died before the bowls filled up with fuel. Probably for the best since it was late anyways. I'm going to try it again when I get home from work.

Make sure the carbs are fully inserted into the boots.
