Just a quick question, not sure if this is the right area to post this. So I put about 900 mile since last oil change. I changed the oil early due to a trip back in 09, I changed the oil around 300 miles or so. Not sure if this is normal or not. I was looking at the exhaust and noticed very dark black soot(carbon) on the exhaust tips. Its not gummy or thick or really building UP so to speak but its there. I also noticed after going on the most recent trip I put around 460 miles on it. Before I left the oil was at the full mark. I just checked it a few days ago and noticed it was around a quarter to half full mark. This was also after the sled sat for a few weeks. No other mods then whats in my sig..
any thoughts?

carbon deposits at exhaust tips is normal, as the pipes are cooled from snow. cant tell from what you reported did you check your oil when hot or cold?. it must be checked when hot to get an accurate reading.

Look in the tailpie of u'r vehicle, it will be the same. Unleaded fuel does that. When we had leaded fuel it would be gray after a long hot run, not so with unleaded.
