Lets hear from the engine builders, which rod is better ?

The carrillo rods are 300.00 more, are they worth the extra money ?

I found carrillo for 1225 and the falicon are 925 per set, if you or someone you know sells them cheaper let me know.

I also need JE 9:1 gas ported pistons, I'm buying in the next couple of days.

Let me know what you have

they make gas ported pistons for these engines? can you get then in stock compression ratio?

The gas porting does benafit , I would not biuld a sled with out ported pistons. increased compression and no blow by under hi boost. the carrillos may be stronger but for are application I don,t think you will ever need the difference between the two.

Personal Preference, I would NOT use gas ported Pistons on anything other than a race application.

Carbon will eventually plug the holes and gum up the rings, not a pretty sight.

I am running straight propane @ 18-26lbs, very little carbon build up.

Ted, do you have the parts in stock ? If so PM me a price, I called the shop Wed. but you were out or busy and no one called back with info.

I'd like to get parts coming monday morning.

Thanks,

I apologize, I was out Wed Testing my updated turbo manifold, Kris has all your info but I am sure the guys were extremely busy this week especially since I was not here.

I left a message on your phone.

Thanks for getting back with me Ted, I appreciate your time
and knowledge.

Mike
