installing cat skid how do you have it set up?

1. transfer block in back = 1,2 or 3 ?

2. front spring?

any other adjustment?

anybody try difrent springs in back. shock working just so soft

Transfer block in 2 and springs in the middle position and front shock 90% tite, limiters are set on how much ski pressure you like. You will be amazed on how nice the ride is.

I have the cross country. with the ext. canister with the adjuster. due you still have to set the limiter straps tight?

well its in and looks great!!!!!!!!!!! seams real soft (alot of bottoming) are there any fat springs for these skids? tryed to change number on clicker and doesn't seem to help. could it need a shock rebuilt? how do you check this? or would fat springs help? im 300 pounds with gear.

ps. no snow here to check it out other than bouncing on in garage

I got the springs off of a 03 snopro zr, they mite have heavier ones. Go to stiff on spring adjusters.

any one use a/c part# 1604-224and 225. on the cat site they say these are the stiffest ones available.

Lippy - I just installed rear springs, part number 1604-194/195. They are the same .460 wire dia as the springs you listed, but not as much preload angle. I also installed aftermarket spring adjuster blocks, they are aluminum instead of plastic and offer more lift than the stockers. The link is listed below.
Another adjustment you can make to firm up the ride is move the rear suspension arm back one position on the slide rails. I have mine set in the middle of the five available locations.
