Ltx-le with qs3r's. Sled is railing but I'm looking for help with center shock adjustment. I reduced preload from my previous setting and ski pressure/front end handling is great but the center shock is too soft for the big whoops. I adjusted compression damping from 1 to 2, should I try 3? I'm 280lbs. Thanks in advance!

280?
Let's see, if i deduct my 165 from your 280 that means that......i can't help you

My friend is 290 and has the same sled as you. He runs his on 3 when the trails are rough. He can bottom out his also on 2.

At #225 I run on position 1 primarily. 2 when its rough. It will bottom when on 2... but only on the hardest of hits. I feel its too stiff if it does not bottom at all.

Id suggest try two turns tighter on your spring, and test. Then only 1/2 to 1 turn at a time. Also if your limiter strap is at 3 or more holes shortened, let it out (lengthen) by one hole. But try the spring at 2-more turns tight first.

You may need to revalve the shock. I have the same sled and shocks and I always run my springs as loose as I can get away with without losing the retainer. Helps add ski pressure for better cornering and also helps keep the sled from rocking back under power so it holds a line powering out of a corner. I also run the limiters on the 3rd hole to increase pressure as well. The valving has more affect on high speed dampening than spring pressure. Increasing spring pressure helps slightly but it also causes the skid to teeter on the center shock too much affecting handling in corners too much so you’re best bet is to have the shocks revalved to increase high speed dampening.

I’m about the same weight. I run the ski shocks on 2, springs 2 turns in from loose. Front skid shock on 3 spring set to ski pressure you like, limiter stock. Rear skid shock on 2 with spring on 2. Blocks removed from coupler shaft. I like the “teeter” it gives me the transfer I like and with the curve skis still corners. I tend to ride close to the tank. Oh yeah, rebound adjusters 10 clicks in from full counter clockwise

So in other words your rebound is 1/2 between out and in,there are 20 clicks total. It does not bounch or kick with rebound set at 10 clicks?

I have my front shock rebound adjustment at 12 clicks out from lightly seated and love it on the trails. I think there's 23 or 24 clicks total

Soupy I don't think you have rebound on your front skid shock,if its a LE model,if you are speaking of your ski shocks, they to are suppose to be same 20 clicks, and 12 clicks is what the factory set them at,according to my small manual.

Ski shocks. Felt great at 12 out.

We're 2 clicks different. Where I'm at worked good for the trails I was last riding.
