What's the higher quality fix for this problem?

So what is the root cause of these shocks wearing?
 
Thank you. I take it someone has a direct-replacement cap (for QS3), or is this cap just a part from some other shock?
Direct replacement. Last year they were $35 with a refresh of $30 from me. Will know current pricing today when I call.
 
Just checked my rear shocks with needle caps , that were rebuilt half way through last year , no measurable pressure drop of nitrogen . Centre shock oil had changed colour a little bit still not bad . Think it’s more to do with who’s rebuilding the shocks & regular 2000 mile maintenance.

Did you miss the part where I said this shock came right from factory like this? Your day will come.
 
And here is another one. Front qs3. Untouched. Factory did this. Leaked nitrogen charge out through fill hole. That’s 2 in 2 weeks through here. If 3 position clicker doesn’t click and click firmly. Shock nitrogen charge has leaked out.
