I'VE GOT ALMOST 100MI ON MY NEW GT. IN DOING SOME AFTER RIDE INSPECTIONS, I NOTICED I HAVE A TON OF FREE WHEEL IN MY JACK SHAFT. I CAN TURN MY DISC ROTOR ABOUT 15 DEG. I HAVE CHECKED MY CHAIN TENSION AND IT SEEMS TO BE FINE. MY DEALER TELLS ME THIS IS NORMAL. I CANT BELIEVE THIS AMOUNT OF SLOP CAN BE GOOD. ANY BODY HAVE ANY INPUT? ![Div20 ;)! ;)!](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/div20.gif)

In a reverse sled this is normal. My GT does this and my past 2 rx1's with reverse also did this.

We posted something like this at almost the same time. I posted:
"Is it by design to have a little chain play on the GT's? Ex. when you grab hold of the secondary and spin it forward or backwards a little before the track begins to move ? I'm sure this is normal, but just checking. I'm used to my SRX which had none of this. I remember my XLT you could turn the secondary almost a 1/4 to 3/8's of a turn before the track would begin to move.
I did have to adjust my chain a few turns (did it by the manual, finger tight, 1/4 back). "
I have about 65 miles on mine so far. Sounds like this is normal. Something to do with the sled having reverse causes a little extra play.
Wouldn't fret too much.
