Havent done this in while and was looking at mu sled tonight. If I take the bottom pan off like I was going to do the oil is the drain plug for the chain case right there or do I have to take the side panel off.

No its even easier. Its on the inside where the track is. Use a synthetic 80/90 gear oil and tighten the chain tightener finger tight only.

great I almost was going to waste a bunch of money on yamalube. So its right by the track then. Ill have to investigate further in the light. Think Im going to be "sick" tomorrow and get both of the sleds ready for winter before it gets to cold.

On a 2003 SX viper is there drain plug or do you have to pull the case off?

x2 on the drain

I perfer to take the chain case cover off that way you can look at the chain and make shire there is no broken links yes it take more time but chain case cost lot more

12 mm bolt. I like to peak in the cover too. make sure there is no surprises.

i have to replace seals in mine its leaking i have the new seals the seller just gave me for my 03 rx1 ( just bought it 2 weeks ago) it shouldnt be to hard to take the case apart and change them?? Do a gear change while im in there 22/40 i think!!
