The dipstick for the chain case oil has two seperate levels (one on each side of the dipstick) for the Vector. One side is for sleds without reverse, and the other is for sleds with reverse.
My Vector has reverse, but I noticed that the oil level is up to the mark for sleds without reverse. Should I bother taking some oil out to get it down to the level for sleds with reverse, or simply not worry about it?

The worst that can happen is that you get a little oil spilled out the vent - probably won't happen. I wouldn't mess with it.

If that's all that would happen, than I won't worry about it.
Thanks for the reply.

The one thing that comes to mind for me is that the reverse gear sleds must foam the oil if it's above the mark???????????????????????? I'm not sure.. But if the reverse gear is bigger it would need the lower oil level to keep it a soilid fluid.. Help "TURK" MM. :ORC

They have the dipstick set to equal quantity rather than equal height. The reverse has a different chaincase side than the standard, so it fits the same volume at a lower level.
