Chain case oil

You know something guys' everyone is traditionally stumped on oils- engine gear cases etc. Well think about it , the chain case is that a chain case, it does not see 200 degree temps.as an engine. It only requires quality oil for lube, not 75-120 or anything else heavy like for heavy equip. They sell chain case oil buy the barrel that's labelled meaning that an oil of a light grade or synthetic will work you don't want heavy oils in the case. Best oil I have used is trans fluid, it's very fluid in extreme below temps., it's compatible for extreme loads etc. But in all it's what you want to use at your choice dealers and parts places love us right?

I use any good quality gear oil and change it every season.
From what i have read, it seems that lots of people are sucking out the oil with good success.

Personally, i prefer to remove the cover disassemble most of it (within reason)and clean out all the shavings and crap that the magnets catch. Check out my chain and gears and Give everything a good looking over and reassemble
Im sure its overkill but knowing i did the best service i could gives me peace of mind and thats important to me.
I change out all driveline bearings every other year, and regrease them between changes. Again, i know its overkill
But overkill is a great thing when your ocd. Lol
