How do you drain the chaincase oil on the RX1? How often do people really change this oil?

THere is a drain plug on the inside of the tunnel, remove that and let it drain. Careful when refilling cause it doesn't take the entire 12 ozs that come in most bottles of lub. I switched over to Synthtic this year...its cheap and easy to change....

Also when changing gear lube, don't forget to adjust the chain tension.
If you have reverse, it takes less fluid. Anyone know why?

The additional do-dads, whirly-gigs and gizmos in the reverse kit take up some of the volume.

Those specialty part terms must be right out of the Yamaha factory manual, right? ;-)

Pretty sure the correct chaincase oil (amount) is on the belt guard of your sled.
