I changed the track on my sled tonight. When i was taking apart the chain case I dropped the 2 small gears that lock into eachother. There is supposed to be a small spring that goes into a small hole between the two gears that i lost. How important is this spring? what does it do? and is anyone else running their sled without it and having no issues? Thanks for the help.

That spring keeps the gears centered to each other so that when you go to engage reverse and its not quite lined up it will "give" some and help to mesh with each other. Without running it it could make it more difficult to get into reverse.
