I can not remember what dirrection the conical spring washers face on the upper shaft of the chain case. Does the cup side of the washers face in towards the gear or does the cup sides face away. I have found some photos here but they were not clear to me.

cup side towards the gear on my sled. From my memory I don't think they would fit on the spacers right if you put the larger side on the spacers.
