Isn't the Mobil 1 Synthetic 75W-90 gear oil a GL-5 rating? Are you guys worried about this potentially eating away at the softer components, such as the brass washers in the chaincase? I heard the GL-5 oil can attack brass, bronze, etc. Maybe that is why Yamaha specifies the use of a GL-3 oil? Any thoughts?

What brass and bronze washers. I have to admit I've never noticed any when I was in there.
