Chaincase Bearing failure

First my warranty is up. But has anyone had any luck with Yamaha coming good on parts or labour for this issue? Cover is broken and not sure what else yet. Definitely the jackshaft bearing is done as my secondary has movement on it. Waiting till tomorrow (Monday) to call the dealer and see what will happen. Otherwise I will be fix it myself.
Since it is a known problem just wondering what Yamaha might do.

I have read that the thing to do if I'm fixing it is replace with 2016 parts

I see your in Canada good luck with that mine did it last weekend and I had extended warranty and they said no mine had about 1500 in parts plus labour.
