Hi, I'm a newbie to this great site and currently own a 04 Warrior.I now have about 4400 miles on it and thinking of changing the two bearings on the jackshaft. Is it a hard job? I'm fairly mechanically inclined and if it isn"t too difficult I'd like to try it myself. Thanks.

I just did mine this summer. Add one more bearing to add to your list:

Change the PTO side drive axle bearing, or at THE VERY LEAST, pop the cover and inspect it. If it fails, you could end up doing the same things I had to:

Speedo pickup ($35)
Speedo gear (came with pickup)
Bearing ($28)
Bearing housing (2 sides and the cheapest parts at $12.00)
Drive Axle ($100 used) - Race siezed on axle. Had to pull chain-case (REV) and broke my gear puller trying to get it off - yes I used heat first.
MAG side drive axle bearing and seal and at that point I rebuilt the whole case.

For the jack-shaft, you will need a quality spring-clip tool (DO NOT buy those cheap reverseable ones that make you reverse the pins (jaws) Get the ones that have the screwed joint, and either a spanner wrench, or a long pry-bar or screw-driver and hammer to loosen the backside locking collar. Can't remember if it's left handed or right?

Thanks " 4 Fighter". Sorry I didn' t reply quicker, I've been gone for awhile.---King44
