Chaincase Lube

Feel like idiot.I am changing my chaincase lube and cannot find my manual.Could someone check to see if Yamaha checks level with dipstick all the way in or just resting on top like for engine oil?Really appreciate.Last step till I put it away for storage.

1/4 of a litre, and you should put the dipstick all the way in.
