if you have it to use up, it should be fine. odds are it is 75w90 repackaged to make you buy their oil.

I used Amsoil in my Venture for 11,000kms never had an issue. Was very happy with the product, little pricey..Now with my Viper I just did the break in oil change and used Yamalube only because the dealer threw it in as part of the deal. I am undecided if I am going back to Amsoil 0w40 at $18 a litre or I have been looking into Mobile 1 0w 30 or 0w40 full synthetic.. for $50 gallon .. I also use Amsoil chain case oil.

Thank you all for the replies. I had a friend that was going to the shop so I asked him to pick me up some Yamalube chaincase oil. He musta had Polaris on the brain because this is what he brought back. At $18 a QT Id like to use it up but not at the expense of screwing something up.

As long as it meets the specs and changed on schedule it doesnt really matter. I've run yamalube, royal purple, red line, castrol, and now amsoil. All synthetics. No noticeable difference, but I just feel more comfortabe with yamalube or amsoil.
