TY 4 Stroke Master
Got a V-Star and changed the gear oil on that. I got some extra yamaha shaft drive oil left....80w90 could I use that when I'm changing the chaincase oil? It's says it meets the api gl-4, gl-5 requirement. Any ideas?

I used 80-90 fully synthetic in mine the last two years and the oil still looks new..

Apex manuel states Gear oil API "GL-3" SAE#75 or #80 hope that helps

I have a V-Max bike and I used the Yamaha shaft drive oil in my Apex chaincase. My dealer told me it would work fine.
