Chain oil differences

I see different owners use several different kind of chaincase oils.
The manual calls for api gl-3 #75 or#80. I purchased some api
gl-5 75w-90. What is the difference? Is this stuff still going to give good protection in this application? It is a fully synthetic.

your good to go, that is what I run, Royal purple 75W90 just cause I had it laying around. I actually picked up a mph on the top end from the fluid.
