I'm a great believer in manufacturer instructions. I was ready to change my coolant after 12.500 miles, until I read my owner's manual. It doesn't call for a change. When you think about it, it makes sense. Do you change you coolant in your car or truck? I think I might put some additive in.

yes i change and flush the coolant from my vehicles. its kind of scary how much crud falls out.
I definatly flush my coolent in Autos(and my sled). Coolent becomes contaminated, and looses it anti corosive properties over time. I have seen old coolent in cars(other peoples cars), that has turned absolutly brown....followed by intake gasket, and head gasket leaks. I would change it every few years.

Change it frequently, like every 2-3 years.
