I put on larger front wheels. As seen in the picture. I also tried Arctic Cat wheels in the middle..you can't see them here, but they are also 1/4" larger than stock and I machined 60 thous off the mounts, but never machined the front mounts even though they had the wider bearings now too.
I smoked off one of those middle wheels last week. Got 155 miles out of them. One was rubbing on the inside lug. I noticed this of the stock ones too, they coned towards each other. I think the mounts aren't centered. The one that blew last week was smoking hot! I think our wheels are blowing on the lakes..at least mine and a couple buddy's wheels are.
So the dealer finally got in the RX1 plastic wheels. So I took a pair of my stock UNCUT mounts from the front because the new wheels have the skinny bearings, and installed the plastic wheels in the middle. Then I stuck my big head under there and noticed that the damn wheels aren't centered very well. So then I installed them with the mounts that have 60 thous cut off them. Stuck my head in there again and the wheels appear to be more centered between the lugs.
So I haven't tried these wheels yet. I hope they last. I have heard that they get hot and warp, well I wonder if that is because they are centered between the lugs????

It's funny you found that too. I had written a post about the idler wheels and had to take .090 off mine in the back to get them to line up with the maxxperf wheels. I did some checking with the doo wheels and found i had to take .075 off to get them to line up. One of the guys on here sent me his holders and i turned them down .075 for the doo wheels he's getting. We'll see how he makes out.
