Changes to the 08 rtx skid.

It looks like they changed the skid in the 08 rtx skid. Did anyone notice this and are the changes better than the 07 rtx skid?

Why do you say that,i just watched the video yammi sent me,and it is real hard to see anything that appears different,did you actually see one first hand up close? We dont have the show here until april 11th so at that time i will look for myself,but there was no mention of any changes to the 150 hp rtx rear skid.

Go to the yamaha web and you can get to the 08 sleds and you click on the snowmobile section and pick the rtx andthen above the snowmobile you click on the gallery sign and there are some different pics and one is just the skid.

i believe the 08 has the 2nd gen proactive like the phazer had last year.

From all the information I have the 07 and 08 Apex RTXs have the same design skid - the Proactive CK - I have heard that Yamaha has worked on the valving of the rear shock to improve the ride. As far as the picture on Yamaha's site of the dual shock in the Apex RTX gallery it is a misprint. -? - Not sure if that is the right term for an online error - emistake might be a better term!

As Port-Parts has said. The 2008 RTX has the same skid as the 2007 RTX did. The Yamaha site & pictures are simply not 100% correct on that info.
