I believe I saw this post here but not sure,is someone making a tool or device to ease up the changing of the drive belt? Could someone point me in the direction of this product or let me know if the thc has finished me off. No emticon so this will do. :drink:

We all make them I sell mine for $25.00 shipped lower 48 and $31.00 to Canada.

set your parking brake. grab the helix, and push in while turning clockwise. so easy, no tools needed.

Plus I use a 12mm box wrench on 1 of the helix nuts to give you extra leverage and works wonders!

im usually pissed off when im changing a belt so i dont think about getting extra tools out lol. but thats a good idea ;)!

You mean cut the strings. There has never been any belt left, just cords wrapped and tangled in the clutches. :o|

Yeah, those friggin' strings and the exploded string fuzz that gets in everywhere and sticks to everything.

And of course it's dark out, the wind is howling and it's -30 celsius or more.....

And why do they only explode when I'm riding with Cat guys?

I ride 80% with guys on Yamaha's and never blow a belt. Then when I'm riding with another group of friends, all Cat guys; a really fast F7, an F8? a M8 and a new 1000 I'll blow a belt.
Actually it's because they get tired of having their asses kicked all day and then end up dragging me into the deep stuff. Carving is fine, but across distances with deep snow they stay on top, I submarine, backshift/overheat and blow a belt.
It's also hard on the belts towing Cats home all the time.

I pull out the big guns and rip that sheeve backwards by hand. When I had my turbo I could get so far in front of the group on the lake that I could almost have my belt changed before the next sled cought up with me... lol... that was always fun!!
