2010 Vector LTX GT
Hello!

Thanks again for this amazing forum. I bought a pristine 2012 Apex XTX this week and have my Vector LTX stripped down for some maintenance at over 17k miles.

1. What is the best way to change out the extrovert drivers on a 2010 Vector LTX? I am about 1mm above the wear limit and have the sled torn down, so I am thinking I should just change them.

2. I have a 3" riser and the Powermadd cable is just too long. I left it last year but it looks janky. Thoughts on the best OEM cable to buy?

Stock is 8JA-26311-00-00
2013 Vector uses 8HV-26311-00-00
2010 Nytro MTX uses 8HA-26311-00-00
Apex MTX uses 8FS-26311-00-00
Venture uses 8HF-26311-00-00

3. I have changed and grease my speedo and secondary bearings, but I haven't touched the bearing behind my primary. Should this be greased like the others? Changed?

you need a press to change drivers. take good measurements and make sure they are on with the arrows ligned up on the new ones as it can drive or wear funny with them not clocked the same. 3rd track on my 11 xtx and no where near the wear line yet with more milage on it.

there was a vector mtx as well. i got away with the stock cable with +3" and +4" on both apex xtx.

good question as i have never touched the one on the 11 and wondering if i need to do it too as it has north of 18000 mi on it.

Throttle cable was tight with the 3.5 Rox riser. I'd rather have a longer OEM cable for nice fit and finish. I am gathering I won't have to do it with my XTX. Damn bars hit my thighs.
Maybe I'll take the drivers to a local sled shop or dealer.

Check your brake pads! I didn't and one wore to the metal the last week of the season last year and I have to replace a piston due to it fusing with the pad plate. Simple late season oversight.

If you donate $20 to Nick Keller's cancer fund you can get the whole history of the maintenance he did on his 2010 Vector that he logged 99,956 miles on.

07 vector mtx uses cable 8GE-26311-00-00 from port yamaha's site.
