OK troops...I have been asked by quite a few people what the easiest way to change the front springs is. I will walk you thru it. Firstly lift the front of the sled off the ground to get the weight off the springs. Next, back the spring preload right off by turning back the top lock collar & then the adjustment collar. Undo the "BOTTOM" shock mounting bolt. You then move the spring retaining collar on the bottom that holds the shock in 1/2 & turn & remove it. The spring will come right out. You then install the new spring & replace the retaining collar giving a 1/2 turn so it sits in place. Put the shock back in place & tighten it up. Set the preload by tightening the top adjuster & then tighten the locking collar above it. Lower sled fire it up, let it warm up for a while & go ride. Anyway...the spring comes out from the bottom!

Guys,

That works fine if the locking-collar actually backs-off

I posted a new topic on my dilema.
